The Giant Conspiracy

Much of the Old Testament speaks of entire races of giant humans populating the Earth both before and after the flood of Noah (Genesis 6:4). These giants are referred to with the terms Nephilim (Genesis 6:4; Numbers 13:33; and many others), and Rephaim (Deuteronomy 2:11, Joshua 12:4, 2 Samuel 21:16; and many others). Simply performing a search for the word “Giant” or “Giants” with any bible software equipped with Strong’s Enhanced Lexicon will reveal the following definitions for these words:

H5303
נפל    נפיל
nephîyl  nephil

nef-eel', nef-eel'

From H5307; properly, a feller, that is, a bully or tyrant: - giant.

H7497
רפה    רפא

râphâ'  râphâh

raw-faw', raw-faw'

From H7495 in the sense of invigorating; a giant: - giant, Rapha, Rephaim (-s). See also H1051.

According to scripture, these beings were the product of the offspring of powerful fallen angels known as “Watchers,” who descended to Earth and mated with human females. Aside from the canon of scripture, other apocryphal books, such as the books of Enoch, 2 Esdras, Genesis Aprocryphon, Jasher, and Jubalee, also speak of these beings of immense stature.1

Robert Wadlow, the tallest man in modern recorded history, was 8 ft 11 inches tall, and the tallest living man in the world as of the date of this article is Leonid Stadnyk, who stands 8 ft 5.5 inches tall.2,3 Both these men reached their heights due to a debilitating disease known as gigantism. The bones unearthed by archeologists and turned over to the Smithsonian Institute, however, were the bones of agile, healthy, robust people, with average heights over 7 ft tall to over 8 ft tall, and some even ranging between 9 ft and 13 ft tall.4,5,6,7,8 As for robust, neither Robert Wadlow nor Leonid Stadnyk would have ever dreamed of out-running buffalo, much less carry one (up to 2000 pounds), in one hand, as recounted by the Pawnee Indians in the autobiography of the famous Buffalo Bill.

The North American Indians believed that the first race of human beings were giants. In the autobiography of William "Buffalo Bill" Cody, Cody writes that while camping on the South Platte, a Pawnee Indian came into the camp with what the army surgeon pronounced to be a giant thigh bone of a human being. When Cody asked about where such a bone might have come from, the Indian replied that long ago a race of giants had lived in the area. This race of men had been three times larger than normal men and able to out-run a buffalo and even carry it in one hand. Cody wrote:

“These giants denied the existence of a Great Spirit, so he caused a great rain storm to come, and the water kept rising higher and higher so that it drove these proud, and conceited giants from the low ground to the hills, and thence to the mountains, but at last even the mountain tops were submerged and then those mammoth men were all drowned. After the flood had subsided, the Great Spirit came to the conclusion that he had made man too large and powerful, and that he would therefore, correct the mistake by creating a race of men of smaller size and less strength. This is the reason, say the Indians that modern men are small and not like the giants of old. They claim that this story is a matter of Indian history, which has been handed down among them from time immemorial.”

Judging from Buffalo Bill’s autobiography, stories of these giants are obviously not limited to the middle-east. But due to the perceived lack of physical evidence, the existence of giants has long been debated. Is the Biblical text speaking of giants in an allegoric sense, or did giants really exist? In any case, simply finding fossils of giant humans would close this debate once and for all, right?

Perhaps not.

One would think that if giant humanoids were as proliferate as scripture indicates, there would be an abundance of fossil evidence to prove it. But the sad fact is, while there are mountains of documented evidence of unearthed humanoid skeletons of momentous proportions, most of these findings are nowhere to be found. Why is this?

The Smithsonian Institute, easily the largest museum complex in the world, consisting of 19 museums, 9 research centers, and over 140 affiliate museums, has had long standing problems in the cataloging and location of stored finds developing due to changing standards of administrations over the last 150 years.10,11 Instead of diffusing knowledge, as Mr. Smithson would have wished, this institution has become confused with the problems of sprawling storage. What’s worse, the Smithsonian Institute has allegedly even deliberately undertaken the task of ensuring that what they found and continue to find fits in accordance with a version of history they have decided to try to prove ever since 1881.

The cover-up and alleged suppression of archaeological evidence began in late 1881 when John Wesley Powell, the geologist famous for exploring the Grand Canyon, appointed Cyrus Thomas as the director of the Eastern Mound Division of the Smithsonian Institution's Bureau of Ethnology.

When Thomas came to the Bureau of Ethnology he was a “pronounced believer in the existence of a race of Mound Builders, distinct from the American Indians.” However, John Wesley Powell, the director of the Bureau of Ethnology, a very sympathetic man toward the American Indians, had lived with the peaceful Winnebago Indians of Wisconsin for f as a youth and felt that American Indians were unfairly thought of as primitive and savage.

The Smithsonian began to promote the idea that Native Americans, at that time being exterminated in the Indian Wars, were descended from advanced civilizations and were worthy of respect and protection.

They also began a program of suppressing any archaeological evidence that lent credence to the school of thought known as Diffusionism, a school which believes that throughout history there has been widespread dispersion of culture and civilization via contact by ship and major trade routes.

The Smithsonian opted for the opposite school, known as Isolationism. Isolationism holds that most civilizations are isolated from each other and that there has been very little contact between them, especially those that are separated by bodies of water. In this intellectual war that started in the 1880s, it was held that even contact between the civilizations of the Ohio and Mississippi Valleys were rare, and certainly these civilizations did not have any contact with such advanced cultures as the Mayas, Toltecs, or Aztecs in Mexico and Central America. By Old World standards this is an extreme, and even ridiculous idea, considering that the river system reached to the Gulf of Mexico and these civilizations were as close as the opposite shore of the gulf. It was like saying that cultures in the Black Sea area could not have had contact with the Mediterranean.

When the contents of many ancient mounds and pyramids of the Midwest were examined, it was shown that the history of the Mississippi River Valleys was that of an ancient and sophisticated culture that had been in contact with Europe and other areas. Not only that, the contents of many mounds revealed burials of huge men, sometimes seven or eight feet tall, in full armor with swords and sometimes huge treasures.12

The ending scene of the movie, Raiders of the Lost Ark, shows the Ark of the Covenant being boxed up and stashed away in a warehouse that makes the Houston Astrodome look like a shoebox in comparison. This is actually not far from the truth. There really are enormous warehouses full of fossils and amazing artifacts that could redefine history as we know it, demanding our history books to be rewritten, but they are even more lost in these warehouses than they were when they were buried in the Earth.

Going beyond the point of inept record keeping, some findings of the Smithsonian Institute were apparently so controversial, they allegedly even shipped them out into the middle of the Atlantic Ocean and threw them overboard!

In a private conversation with a well-known historical researcher (who shall remain nameless), I was told that a former employee of the Smithsonian, who was dismissed for defending the view of diffusionism in the Americas (i.e. the heresy that other ancient civilizations may have visited the shores of North and South America during the many millennia before Columbus), alleged that the Smithsonian at one time had actually taken a barge full of unusual artifacts out into the Atlantic and dumped them in the ocean.

Though the idea of the Smithsonian' covering up a valuable archaeological find is difficult to accept for some, there is, sadly, a great deal of evidence to suggest that the Smithsonian Institution has knowingly covered up and 'lost' important archaeological relics. The STONEWATCH NEWSLETTER of the Gungywamp Society in Connecticut, which researches megalithic sites in New England, had a curious story in their Winter 1992 issue about stone coffins discovered in 1892 in Alabama which were sent to the Smithsonian Institution and then 'lost'.13

Sadly, the stone coffins discovered in 1892 that vanished in the hands of the Smithsonian Institute are one example among countless other incidents of fossils, such as giant humanoid skeletons and unusual artifacts that simply don’t “fit” with our current history books, simply vanishing after being excavated and handed over to the Smithsonian Institute. While taking a position sympathetic to American Indians back in the 1880’s is a fully understandable reason for being biased toward a particular opinion, the reason for the Smithsonian Institute’s continued insistence in the Isolationism school of thought in the face of thousands of findings of solid evidence to the contrary, is a complete mystery.

But despite the great disservice to the global community the Smithsonian Institute has allegedly perpetrated by insisting history follow their particular dogma, all hope is not lost. Fortunately, the Smithsonian Institute isn’t the only organization in the world that has acquired the bones of giant humanoids. There is a museum in the world, (only ONE apparently), that has actual giant mummies on display, and this museum, (the Gold museum in Lima, Peru), is not affiliated with the Smithsonian Institute.

Glenn Kimball photographed the mummies of two of these giant men in Lima Peru in 1969. These giants are still in the gold museum in Lima Peru today and can be seen by anyone who visits. They were mummified because their golden robes are prominently on display. Their crowns could fit around Glenn’s waist. Their golden gloves have fingers ten inches long. Their mummies can be measured with a tape and they were both around nine and a half feet tall. There were other personal items fit for a giant king, that wouldn’t have been useful to a man of normal size. The actual bodies are there incased in glass for all to see. The news media has never photographed anyone nine and a half feet tall.

These were not mutations. A mutation is something that happens once in a “blue moon”. There were two giants in Peru side by side from successive generations. What makes the story even stranger is that the average height of the Peruvians, both now and historically, is well under six feet high. 14

In conclusion to this article, this year I will be going on a missionary trip with my church, and it just so happens that this trip will be to Peru of all places, and will also require a drive through Lima to get where we’re going. Interestingly, I didn’t plan this trip after conducting this research paper on the bones of the Nephilim. This missionary trip to Peru was worked out with my pastor two months before I ever even knew the Gold Museum existed. What are the odds? Is God trying to tell me something?

Of all the research I conducted on the Internet searching for pictures of giant humanoid bones unlike any in modern history, I failed to find any. The only two pictures I found were replicas created based on documentation, and the original bones are nowhere to be found, (curtsey of the Smithsonian Institute). So naturally, I hope to stop by the Gold Museum and take a few pictures of the two mummies mentioned above, as Mr. Glenn Kimball did back in 1969. If I’m successful, I’ll post them on my website at http://www.AliensAndTheAntichrist.com. Stay tuned!
